Navigating Our Campus
Mission Valley UMC is located at 70715 US-93, St. Ignatius, MT 59865, about 2 miles south of Ninepipes Lodge and 6.5 miles north of the main town area of St. Ignatius.
Our parking lot has a single entrance and exit off US-93, with parking spaces available on the left side of the church or in front of the building. Handicap-accessible parking is located directly in front of the main doors that are located under the covered driveway. When you enter the church, you’ll arrive in a welcoming foyer where a greeter can provide a bulletin, help you find a seat, and direct you to other areas of the church. Restrooms are on the left side of the foyer and include handicap-accessible stalls, while the church and pastor’s offices are on the right. From the foyer, doors lead either to the Fellowship Hall and Kitchen (left) or into the Sanctuary (right). Beyond the Sanctuary area, there is a hallway that leads to two single-use non-gender-specific restrooms with walk-in showers (left), a conference/meeting room (back), a children’s classroom with a pack-n-play for young children needing rest (back right), and a choir room with a rocking chair for parents needing a quiet space (front right).
Worship Service
All children begin the Sunday morning service with the congregation. Early in the service, our pastor leads a Children’s Moment, sharing the Scriptures in a way that is age-appropriate and engaging. After the Children’s Moment, children ages 2 through 10 are invited to join Sunday School in the children’s classroom. We encourage children ages 5 and older to remain in worship as they grow in their faith and engagement with the service.
Childcare and Children's Ministry
At Mission Valley UMC, we joyfully welcome all of God’s children to join us for church events, activities, and worship. During Sunday services, children ages 2 through 10 are invited to attend Sunday School. Children ages 5 and older are encouraged to remain in worship as they grow in their faith. Childcare is also available during special seasonal services, such as Christmas and Easter. For parents and children who need a quieter space during worship, the choir room off the sanctuary provides a rocking chair and a large window so parents can see and hear the service while spending time with their children in a calmer environment.
What to Wear
At Mission Valley UMC, most people wear jeans and a seasonally appropriate shirt. Our pastor wears jeans with a clergy collar and leads worship barefoot, following the example of Exodus 3:5 and recognizing the pulpit as holy ground worthy of reverence. You are welcome to wear whatever feels comfortable to you.
Hospitality
Every Sunday, a church member will be in the foyer to greet you, provide a bulletin, and help you find your way around. Before worship, we invite everyone to join us for fellowship and conversation in the sanctuary, and after the service, we continue gathering for food and community in the Fellowship Hall.
